Julia Huang has served as our Chairman since September 2007, and our Chief Executive Officer since June 2000. Prior to joining us, she worked for Ernst & Young Management Consulting (New York) Group and Merck & Co. from 1993 to 1999. Ms. Huang holds an MBA from Columbia Business School with concentrations in finance and international business, and a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering and Microbiology from University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Shawn Ding has been working for ChinaEdu as Chief Technology Officer since 2001 and has served as our Director, President and Chief Operating Officer since December 2004. Mr. Ding joined us in July 2001 as our Chief Technology Officer. Before joining ChinaEdu, he held various technology development and management positions in the U.S. between 1992-2001, including Chief Technology Officer at Infostream Technologies Inc., Director of Internet Development at Automatic Data Processing, Inc., and Director of System Development at Prudential Insurance Company of America. Mr. Ding received a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Peking University, a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Rutgers University, and a master’s degree in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Lily Liu joined ChinaEdu as Chief Financial Officer in October 2008. Prior to ChinaEdu, she was the Chief Financial Officer of MainOne Inc., a Vice President at Lehman Brothers in Hong Kong, and an Associate at Lehman Brothers in New York and Hong Kong. From 2000 to 2001, Ms. Liu was Vice President and Founder of Trulycustom Construction Inc. in Boston, Mass. Ms. Liu received a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Economics from Dartmouth College, and an MBA from Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Tian Jiang joined ChinaEdu in 2007 as a Vice President in charge of International Curriculum Programs. From 2005 to 2007, he worked as an Independent Project Consultant. He was also the Chief Representative of the Shanghai Office of OminiVision Technology Limited from 2000 to 2005. Mr. Jiang received his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Systems and Automation from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Song Gao joined ChinaEdu in 2000 and currently leads the Digital Learning Center after he was promoted to a Vice President in 2006. From 1990 to 1995, Mr. Gao served as Technology Development Manager in HuaYuan Group. Mr. Gao was also a tutor at the Information Centre of Renmin University of China from 1987 to 1990. Mr. Gao received a bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Beijing Industrial University.
Wen Liu joined ChinaEdu in 2006 as the Vice President in charge of Technology. Prior to joining the Company, he served as the Deputy General Manager of Beijing MoVision Technologies from 2003 to 2006, and the Director of China SciTech Business of Henderson Holdings in 2002 to 2003. From 1993 to 2002, Mr. Liu was the Chief Engineer and Deputy General Manager of Beijing Keqing New Technologies. In 1994, Mr. Liu received a bachelor's and master's degrees from Peking University, and furthered his doctoral studies at the China Academy of Sciences from 1994 to 1997.
Honglan Zhang joined ChinaEdu in 2006 as the President in charge of Business Development. From 2000 to 2006, Mr. Zhang was General Manager of Distance Education Centre and the Vice President of Operations at Eastern Group Satellite Network Technology Co., Ltd. He received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from East China Normal University in 1987.
Yi Wang joined ChinaEdu in 2003 and serves as the President of Chongqing Chongda Yuanxing Co., Ltd., the joint venture between Hongcheng Technology and Chongqing University.
Fuan Yan joined ChinaEdu in 2001 and serves as the Vice President in charge of the partnership between Hongcheng Education and East China Institute of Science and Technology. Mr. Yan has more than 20 years of educational management experience. He has worked for Shanghai International Studies University and East China University of Science and Technology. Mr. Yan graduated from Shanghai International Studies University in 1977 with a degree in Arabic and from the University of Khartoum in Sudan in 1986.
