Charles Zhang

Chairman

Dr. Charles Zhang is the founder,Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of SOHU.COM. Prior to founding SOHU, Dr. Zhang worked for Internet Securities Inc. (ISI) and helped establish its China operations. Prior to joining ISI, he worked as Massachusetts Institute of Technology's liaison officer with China. Dr. Zhang has a Ph.D degree in experimental physics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree from Qinghua University in Beijing.

In October 1998, Dr. Charles Zhang was named by Time Digital as one of the world's top fifty digital elite. He has been recognized by the World Economic Forum as a Global Leader of Tomorrow. Dr. Zhang regularly participates in leading international conferences, including the Fortune Global 500 Forum, Fortune Magazine roundtables, and World Economic Forum meetings. In July 2001 Charles Zhang co-lead an executive delegation to support Beijing's successful 2008 Olympic bid at the112th International Olympic Committee in Moscow. In December 2001, he joined the International Advisory Board of the Pew Global Attitudes Survey as an inaugural member upon the invitation by former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright, who chairs the project. In March 2003 Charles Zhang became a member of All-China Federation Of Industry & Commerce. In May 2003 Charles Zhang joined the SOHU-sponsored China Mount Everest team to a height of 6,666 meters in an expedition celebrating the 50th anniversary of the tallest mountain's human conquest. In July 2003 Time Magazine featured Charles Zhang as one of 15 Global Tech Gurus.In September 2003, BusinessWeek listed Dr.Zhang as one of 25 global E-biz CEOs. And in August 2004, Dr. Zhang was the first Chinese national to receive the Academy of Management's 2004 "Distinguished Executive of the Year" Award.

Carol Yu

Co-president and Chief Financial Officer

Carol Yu is Co-president and Chief Financial Officer. She joined SOHU in March 2004 and brings over 20 years of management, finance, accounting and investment banking experience to Sohu. Ms. Yu was an audit partner with Arthur Andersen and has worked with its Hong Kong , Toronto and Beijing offices for ten years . She was the General Manager of Arthur Andersen-Hua Qiang, the joint venture accounting firm between Arthur Andersen and the Ministry of Finance in China. She also served as Senior Vice-President at Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corporation. Ms. Yu graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and is a Hong Kong Certified Public Accountant.

Dr. Edward Roberts

Director

Dr. Edward Roberts has been a director of SOHU since September 1996. He is the David Sarnoff Professor of Management of Technology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Alfred P. Sloan School of Management. He has chaired the Sloan School Management of Technology program since 1967. Dr. Roberts has been a co-founder and director of numerous emerging technology companies and venture capital funds, including Zero Stage and First Stage Capital Equity Funds, Medical Information Technology, Advanced Magnetics, NET Silicon, Pegasystems and Selfcare. He has authored over 140 articles and eleven books, the most recent being Entrepreneurs in High Technology (Oxford University Press, 1991), winner of the Association of American Publishers' award as Outstanding Book of 1991 in Business and Management. Dr. Roberts received four degrees from M.I.T., including a Ph.D degree in 1962.

Charles Huang has been a director of SOHU since October 2001. He is the founder and Chairman of Netbig Education Holdings Ltd. Prior to founding Netbig in 1999, Mr. Huang worked as Executive Director & Head of Asia Securitization Group of Deutsche Bank, New York & Hong Kong, as well as Senior Vice President of Prudential Securities Inc, New York. He holds an M.S. degree in Computer Science from MIT and a B.S. degree from University of Science and Technology of China.

Mr. Tao Wang

Director

Mr. Wang has over 11 years of experience in the computer game industry in China and was one of the principal founders of our MMORPG business. Prior to our carve-out from Sohu, Mr. Wang served as Vice President of Sohu’s MMORPG business. Mr. Wang joined Sohu in December 2004, was instrumental in the ramp-up of our MMORPG business and played a key role in the success of TLBB. Prior to joining Sohu, Mr. Wang worked at Sina and was the Managing Technology Director for its iGAME development and operations. From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Wang served as the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Beijing Tian Ren Interactive Software Technologies Co. Ltd., a PRC games distributor and operator. From 1998 to 2001, Mr. Wang was a project manager at Object Software (Beijing) Limited, one of the pioneer games and multi-media software developers in China, responsible for its PC console games, Internet games and multi-media educational software development. From 1997 to 1998, Mr. Wang worked at Fuzhou Wai Xin Software Technologies Co. Ltd. as a software development engineer. Mr. Wang received a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Hangzhou Industrial Electronics Institute.

Belinda Wang

Co-president and Chief Marketing Officer

Belinda Wang is Co-president and Chief Marketing Officer. She joined Sohu.com in August 1999 with the marketing department and became marketing manager for Beijing in August 2000. Ms. Wang transferred to head Northern China brand advertising sales team in March 2001 and now leads the entire China brand advertising sales and marketing efforts. Belinda has been instrumental in developing the online advertising market in China. Prior to joining, she worked for Internet Securities Inc.(ISI) and Motorola. Ms. Wang received a Bachelor of Linguistics from the China Industrial and Commercial University.
